Miso is an AI-powered drawing studio for iOS, built and operated by Artilisious. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control your data. By using Miso, you agree to the practices described here.
When you sign in with Apple, we receive a unique anonymous identifier from Apple. If you choose to share your email during sign-in, we also receive that. You can use Miso without signing in by starting in anonymous mode, in which case we generate a temporary anonymous identifier on your device.
When you choose a photo for AI analysis or AR tracing, that photo is processed to generate drawing guidance. Photos used for AI analysis are sent to our analysis service (Anthropic Claude) over an encrypted connection, processed for the duration of your request, and not retained by the analysis service. Photos used for AR tracing are processed entirely on your device. We never use your photos to train any AI model.
When you complete a drawing analysis or finish a lesson, we save a record of that activity in your account so you can revisit it later. This data is associated only with your account.
All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive only confirmation that your subscription is active or expired; we never see your payment details.
We collect anonymous information about how the app is used (which features are opened, when drawings are completed) through PostHog. This data is not linked to your identity and is used to improve the app.
When the app crashes, we automatically receive a crash report through Sentry to help us fix bugs. Crash reports do not contain your personal information or your photos.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use your photos to train AI models, ours or anyone else's.
We work with the following service providers to operate Miso. Each receives only the information needed to perform its specific function:
You can delete your account at any time from within the app: open the Studio tab, go to Settings, and tap Delete Account. This permanently removes your account, your drawing history, your saved palettes, and all associated data from our systems. If you signed in with Apple, we also revoke our access to your Apple ID at the time of deletion.
You can request a copy of the data we have about you by emailing us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days. Anonymous usage data and crash reports may be retained in aggregated, non-identifiable form for product improvement.
Miso is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App Store age rating applies; parents and guardians should review it before allowing a minor to use the app.
Our service providers operate primarily in the United States. By using Miso, you consent to your data being processed in the United States and any other countries where our service providers operate.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in-app before the changes take effect. The "Effective" date at the top of this policy indicates when it was last revised.
